William R. Freund

William R. Freund, age 67, of Elkton died Friday, May 24, at Huron Medical Center follow a long bout with multiple health problems.

He was born June 28, 1945, in Detroit to Helen (Newmier) Freund and the late Robert Freund.
Following graduation from high school, he joined the US Navy, making it his career, serving in multiple duty stations as an aircraft electrician. He retired from the Navy in 1984, with twenty years of service. That same year, he moved from Pennsylvainia to a home just east of Elkton with his wife, Audrey (Grzesiak) and family.

Surviving are his wife, Audrey of Elkton; two sons, Paul (Amy) Freund of Allentown, PA and William (Janell) Freund of Elkton; his mother, Helen Freund of Detroit and his sister, Judy Freund of Detroit.

Graveside military honors and burial will be conducted 10:00 AM Friday, May 31, at Great Lakes Nation Cemetery, Holly.
