William "Yellow Dog" Garrick age 61, of Elkton, died Monday morning, February 8, at Bay Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 5, 1949 in Marine City and moved to the Upper Peninsula in his youth. Bill was a 1967 graduate of Mass City High School and moved to the Elkton area a short time later.
On June 27, 1970, he was united in marriage to Judy Heck at the Owendale Community in Christ Church.
He had been employed at H & H Insulation over 25 years and for the past 3 years at Huron Castings, Pigeon.
Bill was an avid fisherman both on the water and ice, he also enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, reading and riding his motorcycle.
Surviviors, Judy; his children, Jeffrey Garrick of Bad Axe and Christy (Brad) Braden of Elkton; two grandchildren, Sydney and Courtney and two sisters, Barb (Lee) Frantz of Ruby and Mary Lou (Benny) LaRosa of Ohio.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Stella (Crawford) Garrick and two sisters, Patricia Knapp and Joan Pank.
There will be no visitation, funeral or memorial service at this time. Private services are being planned for in the spring.
