William Joseph Harcourt, Sr.

William J. Harcourt, Sr. , age 76, of Sebewaing, passed away October 22, 2022.

William was born August 18, 1946 in Omer, Michigan, to Robert and Helen (Tewell) Harcourt. After high school he joined the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam for 39 months from 1964-1968. He married Lois Haist on February 27, 1970 in Midland. William retired as a Bay Port Rural Mail Carrier. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, his trips to Canada, loved his cabin in the Upper Peninsula, spending time with his family, watching sports, watching his grandchildren play sports, and dearly loved his late dog, Eddie.

William is survived by his wife, Lois; children: Pamela (Brian) Schwartz and William (Antoinette) Harcourt, Jr.; grandchildren: Brady (fiancé Katelynn Kern) Harcourt, Taylor (boyfriend Nathanael Courter) Harcourt and Dylan Harcourt; brother, Bernard Harcourt; half sisters: Kelly Harcourt and Becky Harcourt; and half brother, Bob Harcourt.

William is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Thelma, Roberta, Ginny, Pat, Don, Melvin and Edwin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 4-7pm.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. After the service there will be a short military funeral honors ceremony.

Burial will take place privately at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sebewaing.
