William Hoose of Caro, age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Bill was born October 6, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Harold and Evelyn (Woods) Hoose. He graduated from Mayville High School and went on to become a U.S. Naval Veteran who served two tours during Vietnam. Bill was united in marriage on February 10, 1973 to Loretta Koceba in Sebewaing. He worked at AC Spark Plug Flint, retiring after thirty years of employment. As owner of Lor-Ko Arabians in Caro for 50 years, Bill mentored many youths in farm work. He was also very active and enjoyed playing pool, Keno, Cribbage, spending time at the cabin in the UP, as well as hunting and fishing. Bill is survived by his wife, Loretta; his son and wife, Scott & Jessie Hoose of Mayville; siblings, Patrick Hoose of Curtis, Deanna Maitland of Grand Blanc Township, Paul & Vivian Hoose of Caro; brother-in-law, Joseph Galgoci of Mayville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and "adopted" son, Tommy Tucker and Beth of Caro. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph David; sister, Joanne "Punky" Galgoci; and sister-in-law, Joyce Hoose. In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the St. Christopher Parish, St. Joseph's Church in Mayville at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating.
