William Neagle

William M. Neagle, age 89, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Rendon Young At Heart Adult Foster Care in Caro. He was born on October 27, 1922, the son of the late William M & Agnes (Lundberg) Neagle, Sr, in Cushing, Oklahoma, coming to Detroit with his parents as a young boy. Bill was a WWII veteran, having served in the Pacific with the United States Navy. On January 9, 1954 he was united in marriage with the former Irene F. Dalton in Detroit. She preceded him in death on February 5, 1999. He was a journeyman grinder at Park & Majestic Machine Shop where he worked for 35 years, retiring in 1984. Bill and Irene moved to Caro in 1984 where he was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge #1049 and Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. He enjoyed bowling, euchre, pinochle and hunting. Surviving Bill is one daughter and her husband, Diane & Dean Hoag of Caro; two granddaughters and spouses, Linda & Geoffrey Gibor of Caro and Susan & Joseph Harms of Brooklyn, Michigan; six great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hayden, and Garrett Gibor, Daniel & Miranda Stutzman, and Charles Harms and six nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife Irene, Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Enid Williams and Beatrice Vigliotti. Funeral and Committal Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Wigand officiating and military honors afforded by the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 and the U.S. Navy. Visitation will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Almer Township Cemetery.
