William A. Reavey

William A. Reavey of Akron, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at United Hospice Residence in Marlette. Bill was born March 4, 1944 in Howell, the son of the late Alton and Doris (Fritz) Reavey. He was united in marriage with the former Peggy Peterhans on December 4, 1965 at the Caro United Methodist Church, and she survives him. Bill was employed doing machine repair at Saginaw Steering Gear, and following his retirement he did part time excavating. He was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah Lodge #226 F&AM, and the Royal Arch Masons. In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Peggy Reavey of Akron; two daughters and their spouses, Kelly & Jeff Stoick and Stacy & Chad Sawyer, all of Caro; five grandchildren, Samantha, Garrett, Olivia, Gavin and Collin; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Caro United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Tony Tomasino and Rev. Dr. Jason Garwood officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
