William John Stiger

William "Bill" J. Stiger , age 79, of Unionville (Akron Twp.), formerly of Flint, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.

Bill was born in Flint on February 16, 1943, to Charles and Dorothy (Ketcham) Stiger. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. After graduating and attending college, he married Rose Wrable. He retired after 35 years from General Motors doing skilled trades/machine repairs. Bill enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, and being with his lab and cat.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Delina Stiger of Bay City, and grandson, Nole Stiger.

Bill is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Rose; son, Michael Stiger, and siblings: Bev, Luana and Charles.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 10am-12pm, then immediately going to Demorest Cemetery in Akron Township for a military graveside service approx. 12:30pm.

Memorial donations may be given to Tuscola County Animal Shelter, 2738 W. Caro Rd., Caro, MI 48723.
