William J. “Bill” Thick, 36, of Bay Port, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at home under hospice care.
Bill was born November 30, 1981 in Pigeon and graduated from Lakers High School in 2003. Family was everything for Bill, spending time with his brothers, beating everyone at games, and spending time at the cabin listening to old country music and riding four-wheelers. He looked forward to the rodeo at the Fair and riding in the firetruck during the parade. His dogs Macy, Molly, Lindy and Rosie will all miss him.
He is survived by his parents Mike and Holly (Vollmer) Thick of Bay Port; brothers Chris (Cortney) of Bad Axe, Eric (Brianne Harder) of Sand Point and Ryan (Miki) of Pigeon; niece Riley; and grandmother Mary Ann Thick of Pigeon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Harold Thick and Phyllis and Frank Vollmer.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, February 6 th at Bay Port United Methodist Church with Rev. Matthew Chapman officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton.
Memorials may be made to the Michigan Special Olympics or to the family.
