William Watkins

William P. Watkins, age 79, of Caro, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2007. He was born on December 15, 1927 in Lansing to the late Willard and Hazel (Hoadley) Watkins. William was a lifelong resident of Caro, and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a long time employee of the State of Michigan at the Caro Regional Center. He enjoyed restoring old vehicles and building model cars. William is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Nancy Watkins of Ovid, Michigan. His nieces are Susan and Cynthia Watkins, both residents of Texas. He also leaves behind two grandnephews, A.J. and Daniel. He was especially fond of his “family” at the Starbrite Restaurant in Caro where he enjoyed many good meals and great friends. Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service. He wanted to be remembered as he lived.
