Wilma J. Thayer-Bentley-Razek

Wilma J. Thayer-Bentley-Razek of Caro, formerly of Suttons Bay, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at McLaren - Bay Region in Bay City. Wilma was born December 8, 1933 in Gilford, the daughter of the late Robert & Leora (Spencer) Thayer and was a 1950 graduate of Fairgrove High School. She spent her adult life as a business person, including years spent owning Boulevard Electronics in Saginaw and Highwood Farms Book Store and Gift Shop in Suttons Bay. Wilma enjoyed antiquing, playing piano, needlepoint, and visiting with friends and family. She was also a devoted member of the Gilford United Brethren and Gilford United Methodist Church, where she served as pianist. Wilma is survived by one brother, Daniel Thayer of Grayling; two sisters, Carol Jacques of Caro, Patricia Thayer of Gilford; one grandson, Kyle Wallace Bentley of Petoskey; sister-in-law, Pat Thayer of Vassar; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Razek in 2007; first husband, Gary Bentley in 1991; son, Scott Bentley in 1997; two brothers, Robert and Donald Thayer; and sisters-in-law, Sue Thayer and Carol Thayer. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Gilford Township Cemetery with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
