Yvonne June Muether, age 84, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.
Yvonne was born August 15, 1931, in Detroit, to the late Leonard N. and Edith (Needham) Lake. She married William H. Muether on January 17, 1950. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2014. Yvonne was a member of the Caseville Eagles and worked as a cook for over 5 years at Courtney Manor. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, camping, gardening, backing and decorating cakes, and wintering in Florida.
Yvonne is survived by her children: Larry Muether, Charlotte (Stan) Menzel, Debbie (Tim) Smith and Denise (Dave) Pelletier; brother, Roy (Sheila) Lake; 9 grandchildren: Jeff, Allen and Dale Muether, Rebecca Menzel, Andrew (Erin Brandt) Smith, Annette (Nick) Kata, Tanner and Dalton Peasley, and Tyler Muether; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Muether.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William; son, David Muether; and sister, Donna (Ray) East.
Cremation services handled by Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
