Yvonne Jo Nye

Yvonne Jo Nye of Cass City, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Yvonne was born March 31, 1962 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Edward & Elsie (Lehman) Hahn. She graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1980 and joined her mother at the Pine Cone Shop shortly after. Later, Yvonne worked at craft shows around the area that allowed her an outlet for her creative and artistic talents. She married her high school sweetheart, David Nye, on October 27, 1984 in Cass City, and the couple has celebrated over forty-years at each other's side. Yvonne was a loving and devoted wife and enjoyed baking for family and friends. She also enjoyed deer hunting and never missed an opportunity to stop at an estate sale. Her loving presence will be missed by family and countless friends. Yvonne's memory lives on in her husband, David Nye of Cass City; siblings, Linda Baranek, Karen Faydenko, Marguerite Baranek, all of Bay City, Brenda Hahn of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by two siblings, Edward Hahn and Jeanne Grossman. Private family services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
