Zulla Campbell

Zulla Campbell of Caro, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at her home. Zulla was born December 20, 1930 in Clinchco, Virginia, the daughter of the late Lonzie & Dolly (Gilbert) Rose. Zulla was united in marriage with Ronald Campbell on October 25, 1947 in Clintwood, Virginia, and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2005. Zulla loved being "MOM" to each individual child, and also enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and in early years was a Cub Scout leader. Zulla possessed an unbelievable green thumb, along with being a fabulous cook, seamstress, and beekeeper. She was the best mom in the world in the eyes of her children and will be missed tremendously. Zulla is survived by five children and their spouses, Sharon Dawson, Karen & Harvey Rinke, Ralph & Helen Campbell, Cretia Hill, David & Karie Campbell; eleven grandchildren, Mindy Hickerson, Gary, Salena and Jeremy Antilla, Keith Hurd, Jonathan Rinke, Joy Campbell, James Campbell, Allison, Caitlin and Rachel Campbell; several great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Lyall; brother, Bill & Goldie Rose; brother-in-law, Len Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Zulla was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Antilla; one sister, Frankie Anderson; three sons-in-law, Gary Antilla, Dave Dawson, Ron Hill; and one brother-in-law, Clarnie Lyall. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at East Dayton Cemetery with Rev. David Dietzel officiating.
